2021 Kia Sedona vs 2020 Kia Sedona

Serving Louisville, TN

The Kia Sedona remains largely unchanged in both the 2021 and 2020 model years. The Kia Sedona still retains its appeal as a sleek, stylish, and amenity-packed minivan with something for everyone. The Sedona stands out for its sporty, aerodynamic appearance on the outside. Inside, its cabin features plenty of room to spread out. There is a large volume of trunk capacity as well to store everyone's belongings easily. The interior also turns heads with its unique cockpit-style design that makes the Sedona far from your average minivan. At all trim levels, you'll find plenty of features included along with some options for upgrades.

Performance

The same engine powers the Kia Sedona in the 2021 and 2020 model years. All trims have the same engine. The sole engine available for the Sedona is a gasoline-powered 3.3L engine with six cylinders. The V6 engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission with electronically-controlled technology and a sportmatic shifting mechanism. The engine's maximum power output is 276 HP. The maximum torque on the Sedona is 248 LB-FT at 5,200 RPM. With this engine, the Kia Sedona can tow up to 3,500 pounds. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain on all trims.

Appearance

The Kia Sedona has an innovative and cutting-edge appearance in 2020 and 2021. The Kia Sedona is equipped at the base level with LED headlights. The LED lighting continues on the sides with LED integrated turn signals on the side mirrors. A solar control glass reduces glare through the front windshield, while a black mesh grille gives the Sedona head-turning character. Project beam headlights, a rear spoiler, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a distinctive silver finish are also standard. The third trim, called the EX upgrades to 18-inch alloy wheels. A hands-free liftgate is added to the top trims, which also get additional chrome exterior accents.

Features

The base Sedona trim in both years, called the L, features a seven-inch infotainment display screen with smartphone pairing, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Seating for seven is standard. A four-speaker stereo is included on the L, but you can get a six-speaker sound system on the higher-end trims. Leather seats are added to the EX, which also gets three-zone climate control and heated front seats. Ventilated seats are added to the SX, along with a larger eight-inch display screen. Lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision avoidance are standout safety features.
