2021 Kia Seltos vs 2020 Honda HR-V

Serving Louisville, TN

The Kia Seltos is one of the newer models offered in the subcompact crossover SUV class. With its individuality and overall value, it makes sense to focus your search for a new vehicle on the 2021 Seltos. The HR-V is an established model in the same auto class, and it has been popular among drivers in Louisville and beyond for years. How do the Seltos and the HR-V compare in critical areas?

Exterior

From a first glance at the Kia Seltos, you will be drawn to its confidence and athleticism. It combines a boxy cabin with a long, tapered nose and toned sides. The lower-body cladding is comprised of black trim with metallic accents. The Seltos also has fog lamps, a skid plate, a chrome-outlined grille, and multi-elemental headlights. The 2020 Honda HR-V’s exterior is notably rounded with modest edges over the nose and across the roof. The grille shows off horizontal layers topped by a chrome bar. This bar extends outward to integrate with the headlights.

Interior

The interior of the 2021 Seltos is aesthetically balanced and delightful. The digital instrumentation screen combines with the digital touch display screen at the top of the center stack to define the crossover’s modern edge. Some of its equipment includes a sunroof, an auto climate control system, wireless phone charging, and more. The 2020 HR-V’s interior, on the other hand, has an off-center feel across the dashboard. This is defined by an air vent that displaces the infotainment system’s screen from the center stack. The HR-V could come with a heated steering wheel, a sound system, a keyless ignition, and a few other items.

Performance

Two engines are offered in the 2021 Seltos. The primary powertrain is a 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine. In select trims, the Seltos delivers 175 horsepower from a 1.6-liter turbo engine. In contrast, only one engine is offered in the 2020 HR-V. This is an I-4 gas engine that gives you 141 horsepower.
