The Kia K5 is a new option in the lineup at Rusty Wallace Kia this year. It directly replaces the Optima sedan, so many of our customers inquire about how the K5 compares to other popular sedan models in our lineup. The Kia Forte is a compact model that is located immediately below the K5 in the lineup. After you get to know more about the K5 and the Forte in a direct comparison, which model and trim will you select from our inventory?

Performance

You can choose between two distinct powertrains for the 2021 K5 and the 2021 Kia Forte. In the K5, the turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower is the primary engine. The top-level K5 trim has a 290-horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. If you decide to buy the 2021 Kia Forte, the two powertrain options are a 147-horsepower, 2.0-liter, I-4 engine, and a 190-horsepower, turbo 1.6-liter, I-4 engine.

Appearance

Both of these Kia sedans have modern, distinctive styling with comparable family traits through their grille design and other features. The smaller Forte has an extended, flowing profile with a shorter grille and an X-shaped feature displayed in the headlights. The K5 is the larger vehicle, and its profile is characterized by a beefy, defined hood and a sharp curve that runs down the roof toward the rear. Its grille is more extended, and it is connected to three-bulb headlights. One of the more interesting exterior features on the Kia K5 for 2021 is the orange light ribbon that weaves under the headlights and shoots back to follow the hood's shape.

Features

The 2021 Kia K5 and the 2021 Kia Forte have contemporary interior styling and many exciting features. Their shared features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, a navigation system, a UVO link, voice recognition, and climate management controls. In the Forte, only an 8-inch display screen is available, and the upgraded sound system is from Harman Kardon.
